The second book of the initial trilogy
The King of Light the Leviathan Army (The Conrad press edition) resumes Fedrick’s adventures after the first novel of the saga called: “The King of Light the Order of the Dark Gods”. After a difficult and arduous fight against Dar Queen, the absolute leader of the order of the dark gods, Fedrick is thrown off to another planet.
Here Fedrick is saved by a girl of his own age named: “Luce”, to whom after a short distance in the sky, Fedrick comes out of the place where he was resting to notice in the sky the first Leviathan created by Dar Queen, where the evil one merged together thus starting with the planet where Fedrick stopped before and where his friends and Isabel are.
Determined to somehow pursue the evil one, Fedrick discovers that the planet he is on is a planet that portrays the near future of the people present, where the girl who saves him is none other than Fedrick’s daughter. With the passage of Dar Queen the villain of the planet awakens from the sleep that threatens the planet with the evil of him.
It will therefore be up to Fedrick and Luce to try to defeat the evil and find a way to find Dar Queen and defeat him to restore peace to the whole universe. The book uses the usual style of the author, trying to develop the action more than the description of the places and characters, since the plot is always at the center of these works.
The work is a fantasy novel written in a fairytale key and is presented in the same aulic style as the author’s first novel, but differs from the use of words, as it turns out to be a less sought-after but more dynamic language than the first novel, where here the plot unfolds slowly. Instead The King of Light the Leviathan Army (The Conrad press edition) plays a lot on the dynamism of events, is rich in plot and details, as well as metaphors, oxymorons and sometimes prevails in an Italian baroque style of the seventeenth century.
The book is divided into ten chapters:
- Capitolo I – Verso l’alba di un nuovo inizio
- Capitolo II – In direzione di Luce
- Capitolo III – Wanorde e il Maestro del caos
- Capitolo IV – Sotto il giogo dell’Oscuro
- Capitolo V – Ollovar e l’esercito Leviatano
- Capitolo VI – I sei pianeti e i suoi elementi
- Capitolo VII – Fra bene e male
- Capitolo VIII – Il risveglio di Zamrud
- Capitolo IX – Gli ultimi rintocchi
- Capitolo X – Passato, presente e futuro
This work differs in some features, especially on the name of Fedrick’s girl. Her name was changed by the author for personal reasons, in fact in this version the name of Eleonor is still present, later changed to Isabel. Furthermore, this edition still comes with old details that the author wanted to cancel over time, including some jokes about the characters, as well as certain metaphors and descriptions that were too incomprehensible and easy to misunderstand. Also, to adapt this work for an English audience, certain names have been changed, such as Luce becomes Lucy. In this edition there are no artworks like appear in previous versions.
